Cabinetmaker Assistant

We are looking to hire a full-time Cabinetmaker Assistant. This employee would be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in building and installing custom cabinetry. Job requirements include working with your hands, and using various tools and machinery. Willing to teach/train.

LOCATION
Kincardine, ON

PAY
Pending experience

JOB TYPE
Full-Time (40+ hours, occasional overtime)

SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday

TRANSPORTATION
Must provide your own transportation

EXPERIENCE

  • Secondary school education or higher

  • Education in woodworking / millwork is an asset

  • On-the-job experience building / installing cabinets is an asset

REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing to learn / quick learner

  • Works well with others and independently

  • Takes direction well, good #2

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Professional attitude

  • Punctual and jovial

  • Ability to use tools and work with hands

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in tables saw, jointer and planer operations

  • Run boring machines

  • Wood glue ups

  • Edge Banding

  • Sanding

  • Assembly

  • Assist in spraying finishes

  • Assist in the installation of cabinetry

  • Read drawings and measure accurately

  • Problem Solving
